Frankie Boyle
Quite simply, Frankie Boyle is the finest Scottish comedian of his generation - Miller Glasgow International Comedy Festival
As a recognised face on every episode of BBC2’s Mock the Week, in addition to his appearances on numerous other top shows including Have I Got News For You, The Graham Norton Show and Live at the Apollo, Frankie Boyle is an established name in the world of comedy.
Through the facets of Frankie’s career, his live performances stand strong. He enjoyed a total sell-out run at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his cutting-edge solo show, ‘Morons I can Heal you’ which sold out its 13,000 tickets before the festival had begun. Frankie is currently on his first national tour, Frankie Boyle Live, a combination of both this year’s Edinburgh show and last year’s, ‘The Voice of Black America’ which is already on its way to being a complete sell-out. Extra dates have been added in the Autumn due to phenomenal demand and Frankie’s first, hotly anticipated live DVD is available to pre-order on Amazon now.
Press comments:
Perfectly constructed, weird and wicked one-liners…His eye for absurdity is as sharp as his suits - The Guardian
Wit, poise and pace... it's worth sneaking in just to see Boyle... Plays on all things Scottish with a welcome and vicious anti-authoritarian edge. - Scotsman
Thoughtful and inspirational. Highly original, hilariously funny material, based on topical issues and cynical observations. Pure stand-up, pure brilliant. Staggering. Laid back, laconic sharp as the jaggiest jaggy bit of a thistle. - Sunday Mail
